New Year's Eve in Feldkirch

Even a small place like Feldkirch tries to attract people by offering an outside sort of bar with GlĂĽhwein ( a warm alcoholic drink made of red wine, sugar and some intense spices)which actually tastes quite nice still it goes to your blood quicker than any other alcoholic drink because it is warm and you tend you drink it quicker as you try to get rid of the cold outside temperature that was close to 0 degress celsius last night.
Besides that, a band was playing cover versions of quite trivial , ordinary songs, still people were shaking to it and singing along ( I think this is due to great amounts of GlĂĽhwein)
People like a big convolut of other people as it gives a certain amount of connection and the feeling " I am not alone when I try to find a location for celebrating New Year's Eve"
The fireworks were placed quite sparingly, every 6-7 minutes you could see a random, not too impressing red or white light stream somewhere in the air. I think all in all people were happy to be there, Feldkirch unfortunately is not Sydney or New York as far as celebrating important social conventions is concerned but you cant please all of the people all of the time, at least some! Happy New Year!

Mosaic christmas

I got a fantastic program for christmas, which turns, zooms, moves, animates random images from your image files into stunningly great mosaics. It can be used as a screensaver, but also as an entertaining, relaxing and surprising experience. Thanks again, oxymoron for this great gift!!

Animals of the world

Some of my favorite animal pictures taken in Feldkirch and South Africa. The cat is called Leo and lives with my parents. The dog is called Beany, his home is in Ramsgate, South Africa. The crocodiles wanted to stay anonymous.
