Bear Grylls Confusion

A strange thing occured on the blog of "oxymoron" ,
my friend Daniel , and led me to think about the influence of web-contents on people. Daniel is a viewer of the TV series by Bear Grylls, the guy who is able to survive in the wild,
eating snakes and a zebra,
catching fish with a wooden stick.
My friend is writing summaries about the series, explaining what happened in these episodes, and although he constantly talks of "him", "he" is, "he" does... he got two comments of people who believe he is Bear Grylls himself..
These comments dont sound like people are trying to make fun of Daniel, they sound real!!! You can go to his page if you click on my link "The oxymoron blog" to read these comments.
Does this fact either mean that those people havent read the blog properly, and an actual wish is mixing with reality, the wish of writing to a famous person, and be at least a small part in his live,
or does that moreover mean, some people really engage for the purpose of being deceited,
they subconsciously react to things they wish to believe rather than grasping reality..
if that would be true for more humans,
that would mean that people generally are the ideal group for being betrayed, you can tell anything and most will believe without giving second thoughts to details etc..
to be honest, adverts in general are a proof of how the human mind works, products that noone really needs are mysterified and packed with emotions, self esteem, freedom etc..
maybe the incidence in that blog is just a chain-reaction, maybe it is something to worry about, but finally it nevertheless is quite amusing..
